Uber has been testing its self-driving cars but according to internal reports accessed by some media firms, the vehicles still regularly require some kind of driver intervention.
The report points out that over the six weeks beginning February 1, Uber’s fleet of 43 cars would make it an average of less than a mile before requiring some sort of driver action.
Although the critical interventions are generally rare but the frequency of the incidents is something to think upon for the auto manufacturers and tech giants engaged in developing self-driving cars, especially the companies which have plans to skip level 3 automation.
